My Story
I've been flying ever since I was a little kid with my Grandpa, in his Mooney Encore. I knew from an early age this is what I wanted to do. From the start I always tried to learn as much as I could. I remember my first radio call when I was just old enough to read what my grandpa wrote on a piece of paper. That launched into getting my High-Performance endorsement when I was only 14 in a Cirrus. Followed by my Complex endorsement when I was 15 in a Piper Arrow. Needless to say I have been exposed to flying high-performance single-engine airplanes ever since I was little.
On my 16th birthday I did my first solo. The following day I completed all of the PPL solo requirements. The day after that, (2 days after I turned 16) I flew a bonanza for the first time, a cross country with my CFI over 900 NM from MN to FL.
Once in Florida, I started flying that Bonanza day and night. I put 500 hours on her in one year at 16 years old. Closing in on my 17th birthday, the stress grew. I set a goal to get my PPL and IR both on my 17th birthday (the minimum age to get the certificate and rating). Endless studying day and night for the check ride day.
The day came, and I got both my Private and Instrument rating on my 17th birthday.
Following my check-rides I continued to fly around the country to various events, fly-ins, to see family, and build experience. During these trips I came to the realization this is the flying I want to do for the rest of my life.
At this time currently, I am looking to get involved in corporate aviation to grow my pilot experience and knowledge base.
Short Final will be launching Fall 2024 after completing my Commercial check ride.
